As Sustainability Manager at DIRTT, Katelyn oversees and supports efforts in operational sustainability and customer facing, corporate sustainability. She ensures DIRTT’s compliance with various environmental certifications and regulations. Katelyn led the development of the company’s first ESG report in 2021 and is responsible for ongoing ESG efforts and reporting.

After graduating from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies and taking some time to travel, Katelyn moved to Calgary, joining the DIRTT family. Her passion for the environment started young and finding a company where sustainability was key pillar to the business really aligned with her core values.

Don Davies is President of Magnusson Klemencic Associates (MKA), a 190-person international, award-winning structural and civil engineering firm headquartered in Seattle. He is a recognized leader in high-rise design and an industry champion for the promotion of urban density and low-carbon construction. Sought out for his creativity, international expertise, and sustainably-driven innovations, Don’s projects are located in over 50 major metropolitan centers and 18 countries. His portfolio includes over 47 Performance-Based Seismic Design towers in areas of high seismicity and towers up to 105 stories tall. He mentors MKA’s Sustainability Technical Specialist Team and frequently lectures on bio-mimicry and resilience in structural design.

Jordan Diamond is the President of the Environmental Law Institute, where she started her career many years ago, and where she now leads the organization’s strategic efforts to strengthen environmental governance domestically and worldwide. Previously, Jordan was the executive director of UC Berkeley’s Center for Law, Energy & the Environment. She has been recognized for her work with honors such as ABA SEER’s Environmental Advocates: Next Generation award, ELI’s Environmental Futures award, and gubernatorial appointment to the California Ocean Protection Council.

As Chief Sustainability Officer at Turner Construction Company, Julia is responsible for establishing and implementing sustainable policies, standards and procedures for Turner’s national and international operations. Julia also oversees Turner’s National Sustainability Network, comprised of local and regional managers who promote sustainable practices across the company. Julia has 14 years of construction industry experience including field operations and business development, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cornell University

Matthew E. Kahn is a Provost Professor of Economics at the University of Southern California. He is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a Research Fellow at IZA. He serves as the Director of the Health Markets Initiative at the Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics at USC. He has taught at Columbia, the Fletcher School at Tufts University, UCLA, and Johns Hopkins University and has served as a Visiting Professor at Harvard, Stanford and the National University of Singapore. He is a graduate of Hamilton College and the London School of Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Alastair leads the Property + Buildings national business line in the United States for WSP.

As an engineer with over 25 years in high performance design, Alastair’s expertise spans all scales, from individual net zero buildings through to strategy portfolio analysis. His portfolio includes Net Zero Carbon work for global portolios; NASA’s Net Zero , LEED Platinum “Sustainability Base”; Beijing’s LEED Platinum World Finance Center; Los Angeles’ LEED Platinum Federal Courts; the world’s first commercial Spaceport at Spaceport America; eco-city strategies for Jurong Lake eco-city, Tianjin eco-city, Marina Bay and Tanggu; and many of the world’s most sustainable sports venues including Golden1Center, Intuit Dome, Al Wakrah Stadium and supporting the Los Angles 2028 Olympic bid. Alastair also holds multiple patents associated with decarbonization and human centric design.

Dave Miracle is the Manager of Environmental Sustainability for Nucor Corporation and has worked in the steel industry for 24 years. Dave works to further Nucor’s leadership as one of the cleanest, most sustainable steelmakers in the world. He joined Nucor in August 2020 as Manager of Environmental Affairs and accepted his current position in January 2021. Dave began his career at AK Steel in 1998 and served in various environmental positions over his 22-year tenure, including General Manager of Environmental Affairs and Sustainability prior to joining Nucor.

Prem is a leader of the firm’s Research & Development Studio and a nationally recognized thought leader on sustainability and research informed design. He drives innovation through the firm by collaborating with design teams to advance technical design and practice while leveraging data analytics to evaluate the impact of design on users and the environment. He is a passionate supporter of Architecture 2030 and holistic, sustainable design. Prem served on the board of USGBC Arizona Chapter and was recognized as an emerging leader by the Design Futures Council in 2014. His research initiatives include healthy, innovative, and sustainable building materials.

Ambassador Swett, a licensed architect, has forty years of experience in the architecture and energy fields. He is the Co-founder and CEO of Climate PROSPERITY Enterprise Solutions, has served as Project Manager for a $1.2 billion healthcare campus in Istanbul and is currently developing sustainable community projects in Africa. He is the Co-creator of the Prosperity Platform, which is fully digitalizing the building process from design to operations. Prior to establishing CPES, he was the Managing Principal of the DC office and responsible for obtaining international contracts for Leo A Daly Architects and Engineers. He served as a member of the US House of Representatives from New Hampshire from 1991-1995 and then served as the US Ambassador to Denmark from 1998-2001.

Patrick Thibaudeau is Principal Sustainability Officer at JLG Architects. A 20-plus-year nationally-recognized visionary in his field, Patrick is a frequent speaker at national and regional events and has been widely published on a variety of inventive, research-based topics. He was an original member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) National Large Firm Roundtable working toward carbon neutrality by 2030, and his national influence continues today with several leading national organizations such as the United States Green Building Council, Living Futures Institute, Design Futures Council and the UC Berkley Center for the Built Environment.
