COVID-19 gave us a gift in the form of a pause. This pause caused humans to stand down for many weeks and we were able to witness dramatic natural reactions. In an eight week window, we experienced with our own senses what the scientific data and models had been trying to get us to see for decades. This great gift is still speaking to us, saying it is possible to change the world if we will take a new role; but repairing and restoring what has been abused and neglected for so long is not a one-dimensional solution. At the Leadership Summit on the Future of Environmental Responsibility, we will hear leaders in the built environment speak to us on their vision for the future of environmental responsibility and outcomes. We will collaborate on pragmatic approaches to better stewardship and we will re-orient as a responsible partner to the earth.
